Local Attractions
Gorran Haven village clusters around the beach and harbour at the bottom of a deep valley. The village retains much of its cornish character and remains relatively unspoilt. The South West Coast Path runs through the village, providing access to miles of clifftop paths and beaches.
There are many visitor attractions within a short drive, including:
- Caerhays Castle and gardens, camellias, rhododendrons and the National Magnolia Collection.
- Porthluney Cove, close to Caerhays, a wide expanse of sand and rock pools
- The Lost Gardens of Heligan, restored Edwardian gardens
- Trelissick Gardens (NT)
- St Mawes fishing harbour. Passenger ferry to Falmouth
- Trewithen Gardens
- Mevagissey fishing village. Passenger ferry to Fowey, World of Model Railways
- Charlestown Georgian port. Shipwreck and Heritage Centre

- Pine Lodge Gardens, a collection of rare and unusual plants
- City of Truro, cathedral, shops, theatre, museums
- Melinsey Mill and the pretty village of Veryan
